The small fishing town of Sozopol, which is flanked by two lovely beaches, has attracted the Bulgarian arty crowd for many years, who mingle with the tourists and local people in the old and new towns. To get to Santa Marina by car from Sofia you have to take the Trakia highway to Bourgas and then the Cherno More highway to Sozopol. The distance from the capital to the holiday village is 424 km. The journey will take you 5 to 6 hours.
