Bansko is one of the economical and administrative centres of south-west Bulgaria, located 160 km from Bulgaria’s capital Sofia and about 50 km from the national border to Greece. The city is situated 925 metres above sea level on the banks of the Glanze river. This altitude makes Bansko an ideal place for living and as an all-year resort. In winter a modern cabin car brings skiers from the town to 'Bunderishka polyana' with one interstation at 'Chalin valog'. The capacity of the lift facilities is 2400 people per hour. The highest point of the ski centre is at 2560 metres and the lowest one is at 1000 metres above sea level. The total length of the ski runs comes to 65 km. The excellent quality of the ski runs is maintained by 12 snow groomers. There is a Doppelmayer cable car, 5 up-to date 4-seat lifts, one 3-seat lift, all perfectly serviced, 6 ski runs and 10 children ski runs. There is also a children's train and a ski kindergarten offering lots of entertainment.

Choose from 3 restaurants - one restaurant offering healthy food and 80 to 100 seats, a mehana (a typical bulgarian restaurant) with 120 to 150 seats and the main à-la-carte restaurant. There are also 2 bars, a lobby bar and the Buddha bar.
